Discover Old Town Clovis
What make Clovis such a special city?
When out-of-towners visit downtown Clovis for the first time, many of them are pleasantly surprised and easily fall in love with its charming and quaint look.
Local folks affectionately refer downtown Clovis as Old Town Clovis, and they are very proud of it. Old Town Clovis is a gracious blend, consisting of the well-kept, western-themed Clovis Historical District with its many thriving independent businesses, antiques shops, art galleries, boutique shops, restaurants, along with the more contemporary look of the City Civic Center complex. Many of the businesses in Old Town Clovis are housed in architecturally distinctive historical buildings. Most of the newer structures have been designed to harmonize with the timeless beauty of the town’s traditional style.
Unlike many downtowns that are in a decayed condition and have become an eye sore in many cities around the country, Old Town Clovis has remained a clean and vibrant business district. Local residents feel safe to be in Old Town Clovis during day or night.
Over the years, Old Town Clovis has served as a main center for many major festivals and community events throughout the year. This tradition continues, with Old Town Clovis as the venue for such events as Antiques and Collectibles Fairs, Clovis Big Hat Days, Clovis Rodeo, Rodeo Parade, Friday Night Farmers’ Market, Rumble to the Summit, Peach Party, North American Pole Vault Championships Competition, Clovis Fest, Red Hot & Real BBQ Championship, Classis Car Shows, Clovis Children’s Electric Christmas Parade, art exhibits, musical concerts, business seminars and many more.
It is easy to see why local folks are so proud of Old Town Clovis. Please come and see for yourself. No matter what the time of the year and no matter what your interests are, an array of fun, exciting activities and all-year-round festivals and events await you in the City of Clovis, Central California.

Hygiene and Sanitation Practices of Street Food Vendors $101.96 There has been noticeable increase of food vendors most cities in Africa and most parts of the globe, who sell both raw and cooked food items. It has been instigated by rapidly growing and changing food demands alongside the need to diversify and/or employ income sources in the face of declining incomes. Due to the enormous increase of street food vendors being sold close to sewers and along the roads, a study was done to determine the hygienic and sanitary practices of vendors on street foods. A sample of street food vendors, street food consumers and Public Health Officers were interviewed in Nairobi. This work examines the hygienic and sanitary practices, experiences of consumers of street foods and the role of public health officers. This work gives also recommendations on street food vending to enhance the safety of the consumers as street foods are here to stay. This work is ideal for food safety experts, institutions offering food safety, health and nutrition research bodies and health government ministries.
