Dance Clothes Ny

I want to go to a boarding school next year……which one is right for me?
I <3 Dancing, Acting, and singing. I also like drawing (I design clothes when I'm bored.) I'm thinking about maybe learning an insturment (maybe Violin or Guitar, but NOT a wind insturment.) I want the school to be some place in the U.S.A., in NY or CA would be cool….but anywhere in the USA. I want a resanable price (not to expensive,) nice rooms, and a good campus. Co-ed deff. Nice teachers. And I don't want to be dancing and singing all day, but maybe to do dance and singing and stuff half the day and then the other half actual academic stuff.
Another thing is, I was looking into going to School of American Ballet, but I do Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern, & Lyrical, and Ballet and Hip Hop are my 2 faves, so I wanna go to a school that I can do Hip Hop and other things at too.
Also, I'm in middle school, so the school can't be just college or high school, it needs to be for middle schoolers too!
THANK U SO MUCH! XOXOXOXO!
You have a lot of ideas and it’s hard to give you recommendations. Boarding schools are expensive. I went to one. I don’t personally know of any boarding schools that focus so much on the arts. This is not to say it doesn’t exist. It’s to say that I don’t know of one. The boarding school I went to was a college preparatory school which means a school that prepares students to enter college.
I’m most familiar with boarding schools in California since that’s where I went. The best guide for you to check out boarding schools is Peterson’s Guide to Boarding School or something like that. Go to your public library and see if they have a copy. They’re likely to.
Excellent boarding schools in California include:
Thacher, Cate School, Vivian Webb School for Girls, Robert Louis Stevenson School. I don’t recall if Vivian Webb School has middle school but Robert Louis Stevenson School does. Ojai Valley School has boarding schools from Grade 3 or so all the way to Grade 12.
Usually, if a boarding school has a middle school or primary school and a high school, it has two separate campuses. The primary school on one campus and the secondary school on another.
The really famous ones in the west coast are Thacher School, Cate School, Vivivan Webb for Girls (and The Webb School for boys; both are different schools but affiliated).
On the east coast, the really famous ones are Philips Exeter Academy, and Philips Andover. Those are the only two famous ones I know. They tend to be college preparatory school so if you want a boarding school that focuses mostly on the fine or performing arts, that may not be for you.
I hope this gives you some more things to think about. Definitely check out Peterson’s Guide to Boarding Schools.
Anyone who can afford it, I would recommend going to boarding school. I had one of the best times of my life in boarding school and learnt to grow up really quickly. And now, I’m in my 30s
