what are ome good ways to get ready for cheerleading tryouts?
okay i am labeled as goth all the time so i am gonna prove everybody wrong by trying out for cheerleading okay and i will admit i do have my emo/goth moments aka my name xXwhitezombieXx i will admit is semi emo but get off it anyway what are some tips to be prepared for cheerleading tryouts? i can’t do tumbling will that be a problem?
tumbling is required with cheer. there are basic jumps/stunts you will have to know when trying out.
if you can, take a summer gymnastic course through a private company in your area. this will help teach you the tumbling skills you need to know and will also increase your flexibility.

keep in mind that cheerleading requires commitment and lots of practice. doing it just to prove you are girly might require more work than you are used to. I have 3 little girls ages 9,7,and 6 who all do cheer. they have an hour practice w/their squads each week, 5 in state competitions a year, and my oldest daughter has 2 out of state competitions a year. they also have to practice an hour each night at home. during the school year, you’ll be cheering at every football game (usually every friday night), basketball game, pep rallies, and any competitions your squad takes part in. just wanted to let you know what you’re in for.
